    During chapter 5 Jean Valjean asks some seemingly eerie questions. However the bishop is unbothered or worried. Bishop Myriel's faith in God has allowed him to trust this man (Jean Valjean) who he has let stay in his home and is able to sleep peacefully without having to worry.
