Less Opinions Better Changes
Why should we give up our rights to our own opinions and arguing? The world today revolves
around people's opinions. Whether it's giving an opinion on a political issue, ways to improve our
country, or judging others, people are always giving their opinions. Giving up our opinions and arguing
may help save our lives, improve our country, and secure the future for our upcoming generations.
With the world being a place with people full of opinions and judgmental people. Many citizens get
criticized and judged. Opinions are mostly used in the political world, where everyone has different
ideas and ways of thinking. Improving out country can help secure the future of our upcoming
generations, since the decisions we make everyday have either little or big impacts that affect our future.
Giving up our rights to our opinions may help save our own lives and other people lives
. Teenagers end up committing suicide based on people's judgments towards them. According to the
article," Reasons Teens Commit Suicide," Teens who have to deal with negative circumstances in their
life such as their parents splitting up, dealing with bullying, or the death of a loved one may feel like
they have no option other than wanting to die" (Stone Recovery). A teen dealing with bullying, often
gets judged based on the ways they look and the way they act. They may get a numerous amount of
comments such as "your too fat", "you should loose weight", "why are you so weird" and opinions that
no one would like to hear. If people give up their rights to be opinionated we can save lives especially
lives of young adults that get criticized on something they were born with or can't change from day to
night. In the political world opinions are always needed whether need to make new laws, political
parties, or talking about the president. With many people in one room and several different opinions
there is no doubt that things can get complicated When politicians don't agree on something it turns into
a conflict which can lead to arguing. Even though in the political world decisions are made based on
opinions; politicians should stop thinking about what they think is right. Instead they should make
decisions based on what is right for our country and not what they believe is right, because if we are
always deciding on something based on our opinions we can make wrong choices. Those wrong
choices made can then make the problem turn into a bigger one, but if we had thought about what we
need in this country then the problem could have been solved from the very beginning. If we make
decisions based on what the world needs there won't have to be conflicts and arguing. The article,"
Linkages between political parties and political violence" states, "One of the means which social
groupings have over the years used to formalize their struggles and competition has been political
parties. Political parties are not only a means of influencing outcomes of elections, but they are also the
most credible outlets for the meaningful participation of individuals in political processes . Political
struggles and competitions are conflictual by their very nature and if not well managed, can lead to
violence." If we can solve things without having to start a big conflict we can then make the correct
decision, which gives the upcoming generation a well secured future. When we make decisions that are
needed for our country our future generations will have to just continue without needing to fix
everything. Without having to be opinionated our upcoming generations can be guaranteed a more
peacefully and put together future.
As you can see, giving up the right to our opinions as crazy as it sounds can help create a world
that no conflicts are created in the political world, help us save ours and other peoples lives, and secure
the futures for our upcoming generations. So, being less opinionated towards people especially teens
can help drop suicide rates which can help save multiple lives. In politics, being less opinionated causes
less conflicts that can lead to violence and can help make better decisions. Better decisions means a
better future for future generations. Just imagine how much of a better place this world can be if we
stop being so opinionated.
This is a thought-provoking post! I like the way you began with a question many people ask, and dove into some intense ideas that -- although they can trigger people -- can provide insight into important issues and better ways of being with each other. Thanks for sharing!
