LES MIS & THE FRENCH REVOLUTION
WEEK #14
In both Les Miserables and the French Revolution they used the guillotine (however its spelled) to
chop off peoples heads and kill them. In the French revolution there was a period where the leader
Robespierre killed many people who talked good at King Louis. In the Miserables, the bishop witnessed
and saw how a man was excecated by the guillotine. Another connection between the French Revolution
and Les Miserables is when bishop Myriel and his family went to Italy to hide. During the French
Revolution many people went to other places to hide.
