LES MISERABLES TODAY

                                          WEEK #14

    Les Miserables and todays society have some few things in common that I have noticed so far. During 

one chapter of the book it talks about the death penalty and today in the US the death penalty is still a 

sentence given to people who have done unreal crimes. In todays world, we are going through a pandemic 

and in the book they are going through an epidemic. During the pandemic that has outbroke all over the

 world, we had been running out of spaces for the people with COVID at Marian Hospital and in Les 

Miserables Bishop Myriel gives his home (the size of a castle) to the hospital in order to treat their patients 

due to the hospital running out of space.
