    Chapter 10 is about the bishop visiting a man who is dying that was a former member of the Conventin 

during the French Revolution. All the people hated him and took him to the country so that he could live 

in isolation and loneliness. In his dying moments, the bishop visited him and the man said he didn't hate 

anyone who hated him or didn't hate him.
