HOW I READ: LES MISERABLES

                                           WEEK #10

 A) Personally what I like about Les Mis is how the book relates to problems now in the modern days. For 

example, the Epidemic and how we are now in the year 2020 in a pandemic which caused many new 

changes to our lives. One being homeschool, back then they couldn't be homeschooled because they hadn't

 invented smartphones, computers, tablets, etc... 

B) Three techniques that amaze me that Victor Hugo uses are the amount of detail, which gives us a good 

understanding of what we are reading. He also makes things stand out. The last thing is that Les Mis is 

like our modern world today, for example the idea of the people in the book being in an epidemic when in 

todays world were in a pandemic.
