                                             WEEK #8

1. I believe the difference between a symbol and sign is that symbols are best understood as signs that 

have deeper and more complex meaning. However, signs translate directly to objects or ideas

2. The three elements of the symbolic relationship are symbol, referent, and us (the interpreter).

3. I believe a word is a symbol because unless you're speaking to another human who can comprehend the

 sounds coming out of your mouth.

4. One natural sign that I have seen in the world is that when the sun is shining bright and it's sunny 

outside, its usually going to be warm. 

5. One symbol that I've seen in the world is the heart; it stands for love. When you love someone you send

 them a heart through a text or draw them one. The heart isn't the only way to show love though, there are 

other ways as well but a heart is one way.
