LES MISERABLES #6
WEEK #8
In chapter 6 of Les Miserables we get a layout of the house the Bishop lives, which you can consider it
a palace. The palace is a huge place and filled with luxurious rooms. The thing that caught my eye is that
he has 11 chairs, but in the book it says that they were in bad condition ready to fall down. So, why
doesn't the bishop just replace the chairs with new ones, when he clearly had the money?
